Donabe

Here is my new donabe. This is closest pot that I could find to the Chinese clay (or sand) pots in the Chinese market today. This pot does not look as rustic as the Chinese clay pot. For the time being, I just care about the presentation and the quality.
While these pictures were taken, I was in the process of seasoning. What I used were rice, water, a little bit of Kosher salt, and chrysanthemum tea leaves. During the process, I added some water from cooking dumplings. Obviously, the pot was siting on the portable butane gas stove.Of course, I am planning to expand my cooking skill, styles, and understanding.

Taiwan Tea House

Right out of the blue, I found a Taiwan Tea house in Indianapolis, IN. It was accidental when I was surfine online. I decided to go and see this place, since today is my day off. Taiwan Tea House was simply decorated. The price was reasonable priced, even though I only had a boba tea. The boba tea was the closest thing that I could get to the real thing. I will definitely go there more often.
The location is 4040 East 82nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
