Le Creuset Kitchen Addition
Who wouldn't like Le Creuset? As I look around, the only time William-Sonoma is dropping prices on Le Creuset is when William-Sonoma is phasing out the color for the new one. It would drop the price, but not by much. Typically about $40 to $50. When they're squeezed for time to get them out, they would add additional discounts, such as 20% to start, then 30% toward the end of the sale.
For the past a week or two, I had being stopping by the local William-Sonoma, and found Le Creuset quince cookwares were on sales. Most of them were either still too expensive, or I had no big need for them. I still decided to buy the small sauce pot as you see below. Why did I buy it? I was a bit tired of using stainless sauce pot, and got it right under $100.
I've had it only for a few days. I tend to be more careful with cast iron cookwares, compare to stainless or non-stick counter parts. It's been pretty convenient with making small amount of soups, in general with enameled cast irons. What do I plan to do with? Start making simple one pot meals for two.
Below is what I got today. Guess where I got it? You guessed it...William-Sonoma. It was at about 40% off, from $99.99 down to $59.99. In addition, the store offered extra 30%. So, the price was comparable to buying a decent stainless or non-stick fry pan at a supermarket. Then, what's so big deal about it? Besides the obvious, you can make healthier meals with a cooking vessel, that will last over a life time. With it, you don't have to worry about spending extra money to replace worn out non-stick fry pans. You add up the money. It'd be a huge savings over a life time.
